BIOGRAPHIES

Henry Hall Sloan is an author who is also a classically trained Transcendental Meditation instructor and a certified Pain Management Therapist.  He has spent over twenty years in the healing profession, as well as conducting and leading meditative and guided-imagery workshops.

Henry's early upbringing on a farm fostered his love of nature. He began writing at about age 12, celebrating the world of the woods and its inhabitants.

Henry graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC with a degree in biology. He subsequently studied in France and Switzerland to become a teacher of Transcendental meditation.

He began writing intensively in 1984 and has published more than twelve books, focusing on the inspirational, the whimsical, nature and the spirit.

Henry has been a guest on Tracie Hotchner's Radio Show Dog Talk, and on Cat Chat too. On her blog, Tracie said, "
If you heard the charming cat-oriented poems of Henry Sloan, you might want those poems for yourself. As he explains it, there is a “cat muse” who visits him at unexpected times and these darling poems in a cat’s voice are basically transcribed by Henry. They certainly capture the “essence of catness” ..."
